Happy Halloween!
Making my monkeys' Halloween costumes. (Last night, of course.) The inspiration came from the monkeys that Grandpa and Grandma Brusven sent to the boys for Valentine's Day last year. I bought a couple of brown hoodies and pants from Target and used an extra hoodie to make ears and tails. I figured we wouldn't get a ton of use out of the costumes, so I wanted something cheap. Bonus points for being able to use the hoodies and sweatpants in the future too.
Trying on the outfits.
Aiden was not liking the ears.
Reid tested it out and decided it must be ok if he could still run fast.
Grandma distracted Aiden by feeding him Cheerios before we were finally ready to go.
Aiden was ok with holding the Jack O' Lantern, but Reid wanted nothing to do with it. In the beginning.

First stop, Grandpa and Grandma's house. Grandpa was waiting for us on the front porch. I'm glad the weather cooperated.

Grandpa and the monkeys.
OK, enough posing.
Aiden tested out the Jack O' Lantern first.

Reid quickly joined the fun.

Reid decided to cut out the middle man and go straight to the source.

Aiden wasn't interested in the candy and spent time exploring the front porch.

Reid still happy. Can I have more, Grandpa? Please!
Then Reid started carrying around his Jack O' Lantern.

Guess what's better than one Jack O' Lantern? Two Jack O' Lanterns!
More monkeying around with Grandpa and Grandma.
Eventually Aiden decided to check out their neighbor's house.
Hey, she has candy too!

Reid, get over here and check this out!
We went to one more house- the neighbors on the other side of my parents. In total, we made it to three houses and came home with eight pieces of candy. Not too shabby! The boys especially seemed to enjoy watching the older kids running around in their costumes.
We hope all of you had a Happy Halloween too!
