Week 35

Howdy all!
Here's the Week 35 picture:

Everything is still looking good for me and the babies. At last Thursday's visit, my BP was 112/78 and fundal height was 43 cm. The babies' heart rates were 136 and 140. When we had our last ultrasound about 3 weeks ago, the babies each weighed around 4 1/2 pounds. According to what I've read, they could be around 6 pounds each by now! Uff-da! I've been working on washing more clothes and sheets. My neighbor gave us 5 bags of hand-me-downs which I finally went through. Found some keepers.

I'm glad it's spring break. I've been sleeping like crazy, which I probably would be doing anyway, but it's nice to have some time off to rest up before the babies come. I went to Target on Sunday and could barely make it around the store to get everything on my list. I think my shopping trips will only be brief ones from here on out. I'm also trying to finish up my last bit of grading. I finally started on it today- hope to get more done tomorrow.

Did a little reconnaissance work on my parents' house this afternoon. I'm pretty sure the military would not use the term "reconnaissance" to describe what I did. A better description: I waddled to the end of their cul-de-sac and used my zoom lense. It looks like they were getting the windows caulked as per the inspection. There is also an "Under Contract" sign on top of the 'for sale' sign.

Super windy day today. Casper worthy. I noticed a few tumble weeds passing by out in the fields. When we used to walk home from elementary school, I remember feeling like a tumble weed as we blew down Poplar Street.

Also took Eric to the airport this afternoon. Felt good to get out and about, as it was the farthest I've been away from our house since visiting Grandma Starrs in Cheyenne at Christmas-time.

More spring blizzard...

This time it's SNOW DAY worthy! Snow day for tomorrow and Eric's home. I call that a perfect storm.

Eric trying to knock the heavy, wet snow off of the trees without blowing away.

He also tackled the driveway tonight. When we went out to run errands after school it was just raining. It was amazing how fast it turned into a snowy blizzard.

Week 33

[Post Edit- Good questions, Colette: Ours is House A and my parents' is House B. They close April 7th, but will make a gradual move, as they get their house ready for sale.]

Everything looked great at Thursday's appointment. My blood pressure was 116/78. I was worried that it was going to be higher because I've had a little more swelling lately. The doctor said that I didn't have swelling that I should be worried about and suggested I cut back on the sodium. Sure enough, after a couple of days of cutting back, the swelling went down. I'm also thinking that I let my parents take me out to eat a little too much last weekend. (No fundal measurement on me this time- it's been about the same for the last few weeks, so my doctor thinks I'm probably going to continue to spread sideways. Sure enough- I just checked and I'm now 48 inches around. I think I was 45 inches the last time I checked.)
We also got an update on their weights: Baby A now weighs 4 pounds 4 oz and Baby B weighs 4 pounds 9 oz. I was so excited to hear they're getting so big. We'd like them to stay put and keep getting bigger. Plus we still have work to do on their nursery, and around the house, and... well everywhere.

My parents return on Monday for an inspection on the house they bought last weekend. I'm excited they were able to find a house. I believe it's a stone's throw away from our house, but I don't trust my aim to test that theory. Maybe I'll send Eric out with his golf clubs to see if it's a chip away.

Baby B heart rate- 140 bpm

A visit from the rents... still growing and looking more swollen.

More Email from Stooey

Received the following today:

Help!
From: Stooey Starrs
Sent: Tue 3/02/10 12:17 PM
I barked at the neighbors so much that I landed in the dog house...
Pweese help (bring peanut butter)

Love,
Stooooooey

As Stooey's auntie, I feel conflicted. Part of me wants to hop on the next Delta flight and rescue him from this harsh punishment. The other part of me knows that being a "helicopter" auntie will only lead to more trouble in the future. Hang in there, Stooey!
