Black Friday

No Black Friday shopping for us. Eric and I did manage to get most of our Christmas decorations up. With a little help from our elves, of course.

In most of the pictures with me and the boys sitting on my lap, you'll notice that Reid is sitting lower than Aiden. Apparently sitting in the middle of my lap is the coveted spot. Reid likes to claim that spot and Aiden doesn't mind being up on my leg. So, there you go.
Reid, deep in thought.
Daddy and Reid. That day's object to hold was the hay from the Nativity scene.
Mama and Aiden. He was just beginning to smile behind his thumb.

Reid has also claimed the position of train conductor.

Occasionally, Aiden gets to push a button too.
David, Kelsey, and Eva arrive to hang out. Remember the hat I knitted for her? Here it is and I think it looks pretty cute. Plus the pink balances out the boyness of the racing stripe car seat we passed down to her.
Auntie Keri and Eva. I never heard her cry or fuss the entire she was here. Sometimes her parents would claim she was fussing, but apparently my pterodactyls have ruined my sensitivity to newborns.

Eva, Auntie Keri, and Aiden.
Hanging with the cousins.

The boys weren't super interested in Eva. Most of the time they were just making sure I was still paying enough attention to them. However, Aiden did sort of check her out.
Reid was too focused on train conducting.

I think Aiden finally decided she was ok. As long as he kept a safe distance. I find this really funny because Aiden and Reid quite often can be found side-by-side sharing the same square foot of space.
Eva's a pro at tummy time. She seemed to take a calmer approach and just checked out the sights. No push-ups like Aiden or sky-diving like Reid.

Auntie Kelsey is the best tickler. The boys kept coming back for more.

What are you looking at?
Aiden giving Uncle David a high-five.
Now it's Eva's turn.

Reid pushing the button to make "Away in a Manger" play from the Nativity scene.
Eva, working it. I couldn't believe how strong her neck was. At three months old, she's doing a great job of holding her head up.

I'm ready to work on walking, Daddy.
Trying to hang with the boys. May I suggest developing an interest in baseball cards? Back in the day, that bought me some cred with my boy cousins.
Here, Eva. You play with the sheep, while we play with everything else.

Attempting to get more cousin photos.

Reading books with Mama. Of course, a counter example of my Reid prefers to sit in the middle theory. Aiden aced him out of the position this time. Reid also tends to wander while we're reading, so that gave Aiden a slight advantage.
Eva hanging out in the Bumbo while we ate supper.
