Out and About

A couple of summers ago, Eric and I enjoyed riding our bikes over to Chatfield State Park, which is just across the street from our neighborhood. We were using my brother's bike and my bike from 15-ish years ago. They did ok, but after taking them in to the shop a couple of times, we could tell they just weren't going to make it much longer.

Last summer, we switched our focus a bit.

But, now we're back. For our anniversary presents to each other, we bought new bikes. Plus, we threw in a bike trailer for the boys. Eric and I have taken them out a couple of times. We're lucky to have such great trails so close by. We've both taken turns pulling the boys. It's a good workout going uphill, but I enjoyed it and the boys seem to like getting out and about as well.

Checking out our options at the bike store.

Here are some from the first outing, June 17th, when Eric was pulling the trailer.

Aiden fell asleep:

Here are a few from today, when I was pulling the trailer.

After a good bike ride, it's hard to beat lounging around on the couch with Daddy. (Aiden and Eric)
