This morning we took the boys on another bike ride over to the reservoir.
Water break and time to smile at Daddy.

The dam is on the far side of the lake in this picture. The Army Corps of Engineers is currently studying the reservoir to decide whether the water level needs to be raised by approximately 12 feet. Unfortunately, many of the roads and trails in the park, as well as wildlife habitat could be negatively impacted. There are hundreds of people who bike through the park every day, so I would hate to see the recreational opportunities lost. We'll see what the study shows.

There is a model airplane airport in the park. We've stopped there for a water break a couple of times. This will be a fun place to take the boys in the future. (Eric's up ahead, waiting for me to catch up. I was a little slower today, as there was a pretty strong wind coming from the south.)
