Downtown Denver

Yesterday, after several hours of carpet steam-cleaning fun, Ma and I headed downtown. Our main purpose was to meet up with one of her Casper "gourmet group" friends, Charlene, and attend her daughter Amie's play, Girls Only.
However, first we made a stop at the Colorado State Capitol to visit the Capitol Quilt Show. (Right now, I'm having a spelling crisis. Somewhere along the line I learned when to use "capital" vs. "capitol". What I'm finding posted on the internet is not matching what I thought the rules were- I think someone messed up on the quilting website. Oh well, moving on...)

The quilt show was excellent- well worth the stop to view 250 quilts.
Dinner was great- Ma and I split a salad and a piece of cheesecake at The Cheesecake Factory. Yum yum.
The play was a funny presentation full of plenty of chick jokes.

All and all it was an enjoyable day. Even with the steam cleaning.
