Cheyenne Mountain Zoo

It wouldn't be summer without a trek to the zoo with Sandy, Annessa, and their kids. Last Monday we drove down to Colorado Springs to visit the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo. It was my first time there, and after several visits to the Denver Zoo, I was really excited to go someplace new. This zoo was great- in many ways it was better than the Denver Zoo. It was less crowded and we enjoyed being able to be closer to the animals. Some of the displays at the Denver Zoo are so huge the animals end being too far away to see. At the Cheyenne Mt. Zoo, we had great views of the animals.
