December Daily 19

Reid and Aiden had Christmas presents for us today. They decorated snowflake ornaments and their picture was in the middle. I failed getting a picture of them tonight because after I opened them, they decided they wanted them wrapped up again to re-surprise us. Yes, I understand the lack of logic that goes with re-suprise.

Using the bendy straws from Miss Courtney:

Aiden is very concerned that he might not get new cars. Having to wait until Christmas is very difficult for him this year. Reid hasn't really mentioned anything that he wants for Christmas. Maybe he's mentioned some ideas to Eric. He doesn't seem to have any regrets about not talking to Santa, either. Funny to see how they react differently.

Before I forget to post this for posterity, we have now sung Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star and Twinkle, Twinkle, Traffic Light before every bedtime and nap time since August or early September. I'm looking forward to baseball season, when Take Me Out to the Ball Game can work it's way back into the mix.

One more day of school. Finals are all given. Just need to finish grading make-up work.

Added morning of Dec 20th; sorry for the use of flash, but the sun isn't up yet.

Reid's bear from Art and Judi, plus a kitty  ornament that belonged to my Grandma Starrs. She gave me a lot of her Christmas decorations, which I greatly treasure:

Reid's snowflake, plus the pearl strings and a couple more kitties that belonged to Grandma:

Aiden's snowflake, plus a cross stitch ornament of Grandma's:

Aiden's reindeer ornament from Art and Judi:

Off to get my grading DONE!
