December Daily 1

Let's see if I can pull off a December Daily this year. (See aliedwards.com for the original idea.)

I'm working on an advent quilt from a pattern by Elizabeth Hartman (Oh, Fransson!) that was posted on sewmamasew.com about four years ago. My friend Emily first introduced me to this quilt and Elizabeth's website right around that time, but I haven't had time to tackle it until now. Aiden enjoyed driving his trucks and cars through the fabric roads.

Meanwhile, Reid enjoyed some iPad time. His favorite apps are football games. I only download the free ones, which aren't high quality, but Reid enjoys playing and actually has developed pretty good hand-eye coordination playing. I'm willing to pay for the educational ones, and we've found some good ones.

Tonight Grandma watched the boys while Eric and I grabbed a quick bite to eat before watching Catching Fire, the second movie in the Hunger Games Triology. It was so good. Both of us watched the first movie on Netflix this week, so we were spoiled watching them back to back. I'm glad I've read the books, because I don't think I could wait for the last movie to see what happens. We'll see if Eric reads them in the mean time. Such a good series.

Back to school tomorrow after a week-long Thanksgiving break. I think I can... I think I can... I think I can...
