Friday-
Aiden parked his car in the garage (drove it under the kitchen table):
Telling me about parking is car in the "garage". It's one of his best two-syllable words.
Time to leave:
A last-minute trip to Target. I'll give them credit for doing pretty well considering this spilled over into nap-time:
Nap-time did not go well. Actually, it ended up being non-existent, so I brought the boys downstairs to hang out with me and watch Sesame Street:
In the mean time, Eric had flown up to Minneapolis and ran into David, Kelsey, and Eva who were getting ready to fly to Denver:
Reid thought he needed to push the squares on the TV while we were watching this episode of Sesame Street because it looked like the layout of an Elmo app that we have on the iPad:
Trying on the pot holders:
When I told him he looked cute and asked him to smile, he threw them off hockey-style and let me know that he would have nothing to do with that. Ah, non-nap days. Ughhh!
Saturday-
Heading over to Grandma's to see David, Kelsey, and Eva:
Aiden showing Eva his shoes:
He had a lot to tell her. Too bad we didn't understand a single word:
Playing:
I took them over to the park when it was time for Eva to take her morning nap:
Here they were both looking at an airplane. They now shout out "Dada" when the see/hear an airplane and we wonder if it's one that he is flying. The other day, Reid spotted one and shouted, "I SEE AIRPLANE!" We'll count that as his best, spontaneous sentence to date:
Hanging out in the shade:
Time to head home:
I little bit of rain came through as we were finishing up lunch, so we went to check it out:
I wonder if they'll end up with flat feet like their mama:
Standing watch outside their bedroom door before naps. They used to be such good sleepers, but changing over to the toddler beds has been trying and tiring. They're enjoying testing out their new found freedom, which has been exhausting. I solicited advice from my Facebook friends for good books to read. Time to put in an Amazon order and work on the toddler phase of parenting.
I was out cold when they woke up from their nap, so I let them climb into bed and read some books:
Our dinner guests arrived a short while later:
Aiden got a timeout for biting (or hitting?) Reid:
Eva decided to show compassion to the prisoner and kept trying to get his attention.
"Hey! Hey!":
Daddy-daughter moment:
Trying to get the cousin shot:
We told the boys to try to give Eva a kiss, hoping they would get closer together:
Um, you're invading my personal space:
This way, Eva:
Are we done yet? She's trying to play with one of my cars and I'm not sure how I feel about that:
Good try, Mama:
Kelsey had the good idea to try out the shoulder shot that worked at Thanksgiving:
This may be the best one I got:
Bye-bye:
Reid has now figured out how to take pictures when he gets his hands on my phone:
I am getting quite a few repeats. Delete. Delete. Delete.
