Hanging out and playing with the headphones that we had taken on the plane trip to Ohio:
We've been battling the sniffles for a couple of weeks now and even missed out on Jacob's 3rd birthday party. Lots of pajama time and snuggling:
Pre-bath shenanigans:
Reid playing soccer with Daddy:
I made a cowl based off of this pin. The pattern calls for using six fat-quarters, but I decided that would be a little too bulky, so I just used three fat-quarters. I like how it turned out and it was super fast. Plus, I could just use some fabric I already had:
(I've seen a few articles lately fighting against the impossible, perfectness that Pinterest promotes. Please. I think you're taking Pinterest way too seriously if you're trying to live up to what people pin. I have hundreds of pins and have tackled maybe 1% of what I've pinned. I enjoy the inspiration, the new ideas, the beautiful images, and especially getting to better know my family and friends through seeing what they like to pin. As my whipper-snapper students say, YOLO (You only live once) . Might as well enjoy it. End soapbox rant.)
Sunrise:
Reid helping me make waffles:No pictures!
Then he helped Eric with eggs:
I said, NO PICTURES! (Someday he will be thankful that I ignored his no pictures rule.)
Cars and iPad time:
One night before bedtime, the boys played a game of roll brother off the bed:
Our former neighbor gave us her son's old Hot Wheels race track. It's been a lot of fun for us to try out now that Aiden has some Hot Wheels of his own:
Last weekend, I went shopping. By myself. To IKEA. :)
I've been organizing my crafty stuff in the closet in the guest bedroom and found some great storage options. I went with the Antonius frame and wire baskets and was able to stack six of them together- three by two.
We had John, Jeani, Jacob, and Leah over for supper so my mom could make plum pudding for John.
It turned out great!
The three amigos had a great time running around together:
While it's nice to have some mild weather so the boys can play outside, it's a little concerning when it happens in January:
Daycare buddies enjoying some time on the trampoline:
I braved the grocery store on a Friday afternoon with the boys again. It went much better than last time. I think it helped that we went to a different, less busy store. And getting cookies from the bakery didn't hurt.
After a while, Aiden rode in the cart, while Reid assisted me in putting the groceries in the cart:
This morning, Eric helped Reid draw some shapes:
Aiden wanted to take a self shot:
Playing with the tunnel and circus tent from David, Kelsey, and Eva:
Facetime with the Minneapolis crew:
After nailing us with line drives and causing constant ducking, Reid has moved on to pitching:
Aiden is improving at batting too. He's had a few thousand less at-bats than Reid, so it may take a while before he's causing us to duck like Reid causes:
iPad time:
I had to record Reid's giggling. I love their little belly laughs!
