Still Here

Howdy.

Eric worked a stretch of 10 out of 12 days (19 out of 23 days,...), which just ended yesterday. I've been a lot more in survival mode than usual.

My dad is now Level I with his walker, which means he gets to walk around the halls on his own. That's been an important goal for him and he almost made it before he went back to the hospital for his second surgery. My mom's been working non-stop trying to sort through boxes and get the house ready for his return. I put them on baby duty as soon as they moved down here, so it's been hard to find time to unpack.

I did squeeze in a movie this weekend, for first time in two years. My mom and I belong to our neighborhood book club and one of our members helped to produce a movie (documentary) which premiered at the Boulder International Film Festival. It is called "High Ground" and is about veterans who go on a mountain climbing expedition. It was awesome and I hope the momentum keeps going, so it can be released nation-wide. It was fun to spend the afternoon/evening with my mom and some members of our book club, plus some of their significant others.

Luckily, my two little helpers have kept life interesting and full of surprises. More pictures soon, I hope.
