Last weekend, Eric worked on trying to find the source of the pesky window leak that keeps coming back. We did a little experiment- Eric shot the hose at different parts of the side of the house and I watched from the inside to see when the most leaking occured. We pin-pointed one area for Eric to add some caulking. So far, so good. But I don't think we've had enough rain to really test it out. Keeping our fingers crossed.

On Monday, I headed out to the airport with Eric so he could renew his parking pass in the employee lot. It was nice to have Eric driving so I could take a few photos along the way.
Seeing this school bus, reminded me of teaching in New Zealand. One of the first things my students in NZ wanted to know was if there were those big yellow buses EVERYWHERE in America. They claimed that's all they ever saw on TV show and movies from America. I thought that was a cute observation and realized how much I had taken for granted the sight of school buses. In exchange, they probably took the sight of millions of sheep for granted, while I couldn't believe what I was seeing.

Tons of bikers were out and about on this day as well. People of Colorado sure love to bike!

Us.

Long-horn cattle. What the??? Must be getting closer to the middle of no where.

Stopped off at Hess's house to drop off some pruning shears. Had to be sneaky in taking this picture; he likes to show the birdie.

The Blue Mustang statue outside of the airport. I have dubbed it "El Diablo" because of its glowing red eyes. The statue fell on the artist and killed him part of the way through the creation of the statue. Can you say cursed?

Row upon row of solar panels at DIA.

United ticket counters not in use.

The main concourse under the huge canopies. There is talk of changing this area into a secure area. Currently this area is outside of security- nice for those who are picking up travelers to have a place to wait. I think it would be a huge mistake to change it.

The friendly greeters helping travelers find their way.

Monday afternoon, Hess came over to help Eric line up the slate on the pool table. Six hours later, or so, they finally had that task completed. Eric's had this table for years and is excited to finally get it set up. The last step is to get new felt. Then the hustling can begin.

Yesterday evening, I took a stroll around the lake a few times. There is a house a few blocks over that has the most beautiful garden with flowers and vegetables. I snapped a couple of quick pictures, while they were inside. I got lucky, because they came out to sit on their patio a few minutes later.

Hello ducks!

Knock, knock.
Who's there?
Figs.
Figs who?
Figs the doorbell, it's broken.
Wah, wah, wah, wah!!!
The poor goose with a broken wing. Eric and I first spotted it a little over a week ago. It seems to be doing ok, but I worry what will happen to it once the weather turns cold.

Me. It was a little blustery.

A cloud ushering in the night.

Sunflowers on the way home.
