Happy Birthday, Jacob!

The boys and I attended Jacob's 2nd birthday party this afternoon. It was held at TreeHouse Discovery and we had a great time! My aunt and uncle flew in from Minnesota, so I enjoyed the chance to talk with them and hear more about my grandma's birthday party.

It was fun to watch the boys explore and see how they handle being around other kids. Still mostly into parallel play, although they did hang with Jacob for a while. Jacob was fun to watch. Because he had been there before, I think he had an agenda a mile long and wanted to be sure he played with everything.

My Aunt Debi with Reid and Aiden:
This was the first time the boys have been on a slide that they could manage by themselves.
They decided belly down was the way to go.

Here's Jacob taking on one of the big slides. Cousin John helped me with Aiden and Reid later on so they could try the bigger slides too.

Here goes the Blond Flash. Never slowing down.

Leah, Jeani's mom Sandy, and Jeani:
I'm looking forward to these four spending a lot of time together in the future.
Leah- perfecting her bubble-blowing:

A couple of cute shots of Jacob. I put him off-center to capture the "birthday parties" sign on the window.

Taking on the bigger play structure.
Yummy Thomas the Train birthday cake:
Jacob was thirsty and quickly slurped down all of his juice as soon as he sat down.
Aiden and Reid spent a lot of time observing. They don't get out much.
Birthday cake for the birthday boy.
Jacob and Daddy (my cousin, John):
With Grandpa Kent:

Time to take my monkeys home. Thanks for inviting us to your party, Jacob!
