1 Month Old! (May 23rd, 2010)

On Sunday, the boys turned one month old! We gave them baths and took that opportunity to take some pictures of them without their oxygen gear.
Left: Reid
Right: Aiden


According to our unofficial measurements, Aiden is 20 1/4 inches and weighs 8.8 lbs and Reid is 20 1/2 inches and also weighs 8.8 lbs. Keep in mind, that we took these measurements using a yard stick on the counter and weighing Eric with and without each baby in his arms.

Some thoughts and observations about each of our boys...

Aiden

-Is super strong. I think it's because he spent so much time in my belly with Reid resting on top of him.
-Has a scream like a car alarm or a peacock.
-Has a dimple in his right cheek. (Janina- It appears to be the only dimple between the two of them.)
-Scoots down in the Pack N Play so that his feet end up against the side.

Reid

-Sucks a pacifier like Maggie Simpson; the pacifier goes flying when he spits it out.
-Lets Aiden do most of the crying for them. When he does cry, it's usually only a wimper. During his serious cries, he turns bright red and gets the biggest tears in his eyes.
-"Responds" to our questions. It sounds like he's saying "Yeah".
-Good at surprising us with his crossed-eyed looks.
