Take Me Out to the Ballgame

Eric and I enjoyed attending the Rockies game last night. The Rockies are still in the hunt for a wild-card spot, so every win is necessary right now. My principal set up the outing by purchasing a block of tickets for $10 a piece. There were about 30 from Chatfield (teachers plus families). The seats were in the upper deck, but the view wasn't too bad. I've done worse.

My friend Annessa and her husband Chuck, sons Dylan and Andrew:

The bummer part of the evening was when we returned to Eric's Jeep and found that it wouldn't start. We called AAA (thanks to Eric's parents for continuing to pay his fees) and they sent someone to take a look at it. In the mean time, some other fans returned to their vehicle in the almost empty parking garage and gave us a jump. We cancelled the AAA help. Luckily the battery lasted long enough to get us home. As soon as Eric turned off his car the battery was immediately dead again. He spent most of this morning and early afternoon taking out the old battery, hauling it to Sears, and installing a new battery. All is well again. I think it's time to transfer Eric's AAA subscription to Colorado and sign me up for an account as well.

Running out of gas, hitting deer with suicidal tendencies, and changing flat tires, AAA has been good to us. Did I mention hotel discounts since neither of you can qualify for AARP.

What a drag! Sorry to hear about the car trouble--wish we had known, could've jumped your car. Glad you made it home. See you tomorrow--hope you enjoyed your extra day off! :)
