December Daily 6 - 15

Should be grading Stat tests...

Instead, here's a catch up of December Daily:

December Daily 6:
Our church decorated for Christmas.

December Daily 7:
Eric's view of the capital building in Madison, Wisconsin on one of his overnights.

December Daily 8:
I emailed my family to see if they had any Christmas present ideas. This idea was from my puppy-nephew Stooey. He LOVES peanut butter!

December Daily 9:
Some students at school hosted a teacher appreciation dinner for some of us. My group went with a twin babies theme; hence the footsie pajamas and bibs.

December Daily 10:
My 1995 Subaru grocery-getter hits 120,000 miles.

December Daily 11:
Another milestone- the 20-week mark!

December Daily 12:
Eric hanging the outside Christmas lights.

December Daily 13:
One of my favorite childhood ornaments- an angel.

December Daily 14:
The workout studio where I go to take a weight training class once a week.

December Daily 15:
Eric assembling his pool table. Last time it was in use was when he was based in Portland.

December Daily 5

Today I did some Christmas shopping. The stores were fairly crowded but not too bad. On my way home, I stopped off at an overlook above our neighborhood. Great view of the star on the hill, our neighborhood, and the Botanic Garden's Trail of Lights.

Bumper sticker spotted this afternoon: "Pilots are plane great!"
I agree.

December Daily 4

Eric's dad sent me a picture of their Christmas tree today. Marlowe, I hope you don't mind my using it as today's December Daily. It's so difficult to get a good picture of a lit Christmas tree. I just love this shot. Plus, I have yet to get out our Christmas decorations. I better get on that this weekend.

December Daily 3

Eric and I had a doctor's visit today. Everything is looking good. We heard both of the heart beats loud and clear. One was 152 beats per minute and the other was 140. My blood pressure is still really good: 122/80. The fundal height of my belly is 25 cm. For a singleton pregnancy that would correspond to 25 weeks of pregnancy. Tomorrow, we reach the 19 week mark, so it looks like those two babies are growing nice and big.
After our appointment, we went to a local restaurant called Nono's. As soon as we were seated by an autographed picture of Neil Diamond, I knew that had to be my December Daily picture. Hard to beat a good Neil Diamond song. (Shout out to Rachel! When we were RA's during our junior year of college, our hall director had tickets to a Neil Diamond concert which she couldn't attend. Rachel and I jumped all over those and had a great time.)

Just shy of 19 weeks:

On our way home from supper, Sandy texted me to make sure I saw today's Close to Home comic strip. Good timing:

Happy to report that I'm not sporting a double bump.

December Daily 2

This morning brought snowfall and chilly temperatures. This is the school bus that picks up the high school students in our neighborhood. Slow commute for the metro area this morning.

December Daily 1

Sometimes we give Panera the privilege of making supper. Eric's usual: bacon, turkey bravo sandwich. My choices change; tonight I chose Cobb salad and chicken salad sandwich. Strawberry smoothies all around.

Credit to one of my favorite scrapbookers, Ali Edwards, for giving me the idea to try the December Daily project for the first time last year.
